Everyone is looking for the best bang for their buck when it comes to graphics cards, and why shouldn’t they? With so many different brands, numbers, clock speeds, and sizes thrown at you, it can be overwhelming to try to find the best fit for your system, and your budget. Choosing the right GFX card has a lot to do with what games you intend to play, how competitively you want to play them, and how much you want to spend overall. There are many cheap GFX cards for gaming on the market available today, some of which perform close to as well as their more expensive counterparts. Let’s take a look at a few:

GTX 1030 3GB – $119

This card is normally used by miners, as it provides steady, decent power at a constant rate. The price is actually really well for the potential performance it can give. Though you may have to turn settings down on some games, if you are on a really tight budget and just want to get gaming, this card will do that for you.

EVGA GTX 1060 3GB – $211-$225

EVGA has always been a big name for graphics cards, and they produce quality chips. The 1060 3GB benched nearly as well as the GTX 980, which is a fairly big deal considering the price difference between the two. This card is definitely a solid pick for your money, and can run most of the AAA games of today at a comfortable 60 frames per second. Keep in mind that this does depend on the rest of your hardware.

GTX 1070 Mini 8GB – $299 (Down from $360)

The price of this card was just reduced, one can only assume it is because of the release of the new 20 series GTX cards. Lucky for us, because these are an amazing graphics card. Don’t be fooled by the fact it is a mini. With a 1797 Mhz clock and 8GB DDR5 this card is comfortable in almost any game setting. If you come across one of these and it is within your price range, don’t pass it up.

MSI Radeon 570 8GB – $139-$179

If you can still find one of these on the shelf, grab it. The super low price point for the amount of power you get is really unmatchable. The Radeon 570 8GB can run all of todays new games with surprisingly clear quality at 60+ fps. Likely the best deal on this list if you can manage to find one.

AMD RX 580 8GB – $215

AMD has come a long way in recent years, constantly improving their chips and overall card quality. They are Nvidia’s main competitor, which keeps them at the forefront of the market. The RX 580 is an awesome deal for the $215 price, and will comfortably run all of todays games on high settings. Sadly it is not VR ready, but you can’t expect everything when you are looking for a bargain.

There are many other cards that are available on today’s market, it is certainly worth it to check some out for yourself, and see what might best suit you. Try to get a card that meets the recommended requirements of the games that you wish to play, so you know that you will be able to run it and keep it looking sharp.
